Buying a new laptop? That’s exciting — but it’s also overwhelming. RAM, SSD, processors, battery life… and then all those reviews.

At LINEtech, we believe shopping for tech shouldn’t be complicated. That’s why we created this quick, 3-minute checklist to help you choose the right laptop — no stress, no regrets.

Let’s get started.

✅ 1. What are you using it for?

Be brutally honest.

Use Case

What You Should Look For

College / Notes / Docs

i3 or Ryzen 3, 8 GB RAM, SSD

Content Creation

i5/i7 or Ryzen 5/7, 16 GB RAM, good GPU

Web Browsing / Streaming

Basic processor + SSD

Gaming

High refresh display, powerful GPU (Nvidia/AMD)

✅ 2. How much storage do you actually need?

Most people don’t need 1TB.Here’s a simple guide:

  • 256 GB SSD – More than enough for students or everyday users

  • 512 GB SSD – Safe middle ground

  • 1 TB SSD or Hybrid – Ideal for creators, gamers, or pros with large files

💡 Tip: Always choose SSD over HDD — your laptop will be way faster.

✅ 3. Battery vs. Power? Pick your priority.

  • Portable users (college, cafes) → Prioritize battery life (8+ hrs)

  • Desk setups / heavy users → Choose performance over portability

If you’re both? Look for a balance — mid-range CPU, no dedicated GPU.

✅ 4. Do you need a touchscreen? A backlit keyboard? A numeric pad?

These little features can make a big difference — but only if you’ll use them.Don’t pay extra for things you won’t touch.

✅ 5. OS Preference? Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS?

  • Windows – Most flexible, all-purpose

  • macOS – Premium feel, great for creators, but pricey

  • ChromeOS – Very budget-friendly, great for basic use
